‘Monday to Sunday’ – Ntando

South African artist Ntando just released a new album called ‘Monday to Sunday‘. The leading track of the album bears the same name and is an excellent Afro-Pop track. In the video, unleashed some weeks ago, we can see children who play a typical scene in South African wedding arrangements. When a couple decides to marry, it is custom that the parents of both sides meet to agree on the wedding. Here, the man’s family is supposed to bring a gift (comparable to bride prize) so that the woman’s family would agree. I heard that this custom is nowadays taken less seriously but is still observed.
