‘Let’s Dance ‘ – Ibibio Sound Machine

946053_550916444996892_1268945440_nBe prepared, this group will take the scene by storm! Led by British/ Nigerian singer Eno Williams, Ibibio Sound Machine finds its inspiration in the golden era of West-African funk & disco, modern post-punk & electro and describes their sound as a “clash of African and electronic elements“. Their self-titled debut album will hit the streets in February 2014 but the group leaves us with great material we can enjoy til then. We can listen to the banging lead single ‘Let’s Dance‘ and even watch their electrifying concert at the Trans Musicales de Rennes Festival via ARTE.

Eno Williams sings in her mother’s Ibibio tongue, which is spoken by the Ibibio people in South-Eastern Nigeria.
