Award winning Malian singer Rokia Traoré will release her fifth studio album – titled ‘Beautiful Africa’ – on April 9. Some weeks ago she dropped the title track for the album in which she sings in Bambara, French as well as English. It’s a great, energetic track that expresses admiration but also infuriation about the state of Africa. However, her love for the continent proves to be resilient: “Yet my faith does not know failure“.
