While being on her first US tour the Malian singer Fatoumata Diawara released the video for her song ‘Clandestin‘, a song taken from her widely celebrated debut album ‘Fatou‘. Watching the video for this track we can assume that this song is not just any song for her. At one point in the video Fatoumata Diawara can be seen crying. Many artists know how to act in their videos but just by looking at her face you know that these tears aren’t faked, they are authentic. Art and artist cannot be seperated. Fatoumata’s tears show how deep this relationship can get.
