New Hope Masike videos

I introduced Hope Masike and her special Mbira sound in an earlier post. Now she dropped two nice videos for her songs “Mapfunde” and “Because of You“. It’s nice to see her sounds visualized!

In her description to the song “Mapfunde” she tells us about the intersting meaning of the song: “Mapfunde talks about the play songs and games we used to do long back. It celebrates and documents the culture of children’s games in Zimbabwe, most of which we are now loosing.”
