Fela Kuti *-* “Fogo Fogo”
Fela Kuti, one might call him one of the greatest African music artist ever. Based on a young but rich music-culture of Afro-Funk in West-Africa he re-developed the sound and became the godfather of AFROBEAT. Fela Kuti never experienced the popularity he actually deserved. A musical genious that died relatively young (59). He used his music as a means of political protest and became an out-singing enemy for the military dictatorship that ruled Nigeria by that time. Even in these days, some Nigerians soldiers dont like the song. His son, Femi Kuti, will definitely also get a post here soon.
